Reconception of the role of cultural heritage in post-war tourism and recreation activities
Abstract
The purpose of the work is to consider the work of cultural institutions in preserving historical and cultural heritage in wartime and to rethink approaches to the presentation of traditional and modern cultural heritage in post-conflict tourism. The research methodology is determined by the multivariance of interpretations of cultural heritage and the search for new approaches to the use of historical and cultural heritage in post-war tourist and recreational activities. A comprehensive analysis that combines a set of research methods, namely a systematic method, a method of cultural modelling, and the comparative method, allows considering the objects of the modern historical and cultural heritage as a factor in the revival of the tourism industry in the regions of Ukraine. The scientific novelty of the study is to highlight the possibilities of the tourism sector in using the traditional cultural heritage and the latest historical and cultural heritage created in the conditions of hostilities in the tourist and recreational activities of the post-war period, in particular such areas as the development of military tourism, urban tourism, educational tourism, development of projects of memory routes, filling the domestic tourist product with positive brands of the indestructibility of Ukrainians. Conclusions. The development of the potential of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine in the post-war period requires creative approaches to the preservation and promotion of traditional and modern cultural heritage and the effective use of cultural heritage sites in the tourism industry to present the full range of tourist and recreational resources of Ukraine
